Feeding Southwest Virginia (“Feeding SWVA”) believes we have an obligation to be faithful stewards of any funds and related information provided to us in support of our mission. We will respect the privacy of the personal and organizational information that we have about a supporter. As a part of our stewardship, this Privacy Policy explains how we obtain, use, protect, and share information about supporters and works in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of Use and the Donor Bill of Rights, but does not modify or supersede them.

Privacy Protection Practices and Standards
- We do not sell supporter information.
- We do not share any personal information to organizations or individuals outside Feeding SWVA without supporter consent.
- We do work with a third-party provider for production and delivery of mailings and newsletters, annual reports, and other literature concerning Feeding SWVA to communicate with our supporter base. This information is used with the consent of the supporters being contacted and on behalf of Feeding SWVA, exclusively.
- We will hold strictly confidential all information concerning donors and prospects, including names, addresses, names of beneficiaries, nature and value of estates, amounts of provisions or gifts, etc., unless a donor or prospect grants permission to use selective information for purposes of referral, testimonial, example, recognition, or publicity.
- We have procedures in place to limit access to information to those employees and volunteers who need to know such information in order to fulfill our mission.
- We educate our employees and volunteers on the importance of protecting the privacy and security of confidential personal and organizational information.
- We will collect, use and share information about our supporters among employees and volunteers only on a need-to-know basis and for the sole purpose of carrying out Feeding Southwest Virginia’s mission.
- We will cooperate with government officials or parties in litigation under process of law, or as otherwise required by law.
- We will use our best efforts to comply with the expressed wishes of any supporter who does not want their name used in any promotional material, wishes their name removed from solicitation lists, or wishes to have their gifts or services be anonymous.

Personal Information Collected
Personal information is obtained from donors, volunteers and prospects through pledge cards, letters, surveys, applications, and other forms, in writing, in person, by telephone, or electronically (e.g., name, address, employer, birth date, credit card number, family members, interests, etc.)
We retain information about present and past history of donations, volunteer service, committee service and any other interaction an individual may have had with Feeding SWVA.
Feeding SWVA collects this necessary information to perform transactions, to analyze and plan, and to communicate with our supporters.
Non-Personal Information We Collect
Feeding SWVA also collects certain non-personally identifiable information when someone visits web pages within the Site such as:

FundraiseUp
Feeding SWVA uses Fundraise Up as an online donation platform. All donation data collected is subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), and other applicable privacy laws. Non-Personal Information that is collected remains anonymous or non-personally identifiable. All Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is encrypted. Financial information, such as banking information or credit card number, name, CVV code, or expiration date, is collected and stored by a third-party payment processor. Financial information is not stored by Fundraise Up.
Stripe
We use Stripe for payments, analytics, and other business services relating to our online donation platform. Stripe may collect personal data including via cookies and similar technologies. The personal data Stripe collects may include transactional data and identifying information about devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection, loss prevention, authentication, and analytics related to the performance of its services.
